A Terraforming Dream That Runs Out of Steam Before the Finish Line
Planet Crafter
TL;DR
Planet Crafter is a genuinely fun crafting and terraforming experience with one of the coolest concepts in the genre. Watching a dead planet come alive because of YOUR work is incredibly satisfying, and the crafting loop will keep Satisfactory and Factorio fans happy. The main downsides are automation unlocking too late and limited replayability, but for the hours you'll get out of it, it's well worth the ride. Hoping we see a sequel with more resources behind it.
The Concept Is Absolutely Brilliant
Let's get this out of the way first: watching your planet transform from a barren, hostile wasteland into a living, breathing world is genuinely one of the coolest experiences in gaming. Glaciers melt, water starts pooling, moss spreads across rocks, and eventually trees and wildlife appear. It's the kind of environmental storytelling that makes you stop what you're doing just to take it all in. Miju Games absolutely nailed this core concept, and it's clear they put a lot of love into making this transformation feel rewarding..

Start with a barren planet !
There's something deeply satisfying about landing on a dead rock where you can barely survive two minutes without oxygen, then looking around 30 hours later at forests, lakes, and animals roaming around knowing you built all of that. It's YOUR world, and every blade of grass exists because of your effort.

And turn it to something magical
The Loop That Keeps You Coming Back
The early to mid-game loop is properly addictive. You're scrambling for oxygen, building your first machines, watching those terraforming numbers tick up, and there's always something new to unlock or explore. The progression pacing during these phases is spot on you feel like you're constantly achieving something.

Exploring crashed ships and abandoned bases scratches that curiosity itch perfectly. . The atmosphere is genuinely immersive—there's a loneliness to it that feels intentional, like you're the only person who's ever going to make this planet work.
