What I'm Looking Forward To: November & December 2025 Game Releases
November and December are shaping up to be absolutely packed with exciting releases and expansions. From medieval mysteries to anime action RPGs, Roman empire building to Martian colonies, here's what's got me hyped for the next two months.

The Games I Can't Wait to Play
As we head into the final stretch of 2025, the release calendar is looking seriously stacked. Whether you're into story-driven DLC, massive strategy games, or remastered classics, there's something landing in the next couple of months that should be on your radar. Here's what we're personally looking forward to.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II - Mysteria Ecclesiae (November 11)
The final story DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II drops tomorrow, and it's looking like a proper send-off for Henry's adventures. Mysteria Ecclesiae takes our protagonist to the Sedletz Monastery to investigate a deadly plague, and if you've played the previous expansions, you know Warhorse Studios doesn't mess around with their storytelling.

This time, Henry becomes an assistant to Sigismund Albicus, a renowned healer with royal connections, and has to unravel a web of intrigue while dealing with a mysterious epidemic. The monastery setting looks atmospheric as hell, and the promise of "deductive and sleuthing skills" has us ready to play medieval detective.
At $13.99 (or included in the Expansion Pass), it's priced fairly for what looks like a meaty conclusion to the DLC roadmap. While Warhorse calls this the "final" expansion, we wouldn't be shocked to see more content down the line given how successful KCD2 has been.
Anno 117: Pax Romana (November 13)
The Anno series is heading back to Ancient Rome, and I'm here for it. Anno 117: Pax Romana puts you in the sandals of a Roman governor in 117 AD, tasked with building and managing provinces across the empire. This is the earliest historical setting the franchise has ever tackled, and Ubisoft Mainz has been working on it for years.

Looks interesting
What's got me interested is the choice between playing as Marcus or Marcia, each with their own storyline. The game also introduces land combat (a returning feature for the series) and lets you build in two distinct regions: the familiar Mediterranean heartland of Latium, or the rainy Celtic wetlands of Albion with its swamp-based architecture. That variety in setting and playstyle is exactly what we want from a city builder.
The game launches with built-in modding support too, which is a smart move. At $89.95 for the standard edition (or $129.95 for Gold with the Year One Pass), it's a typical AAA price point, and this is the main reason that i am on the fence about this title. I've played the demo and looks and feels great like other Anno Games but $130 for a game is a bit too much these days.
Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE (November 17 Demo, November 24 Full Release)
If you're into the Solo Leveling manhwa or anime, this one's been on my radar for a while. ARISE OVERDRIVE is not a port of the mobile game โ it's a completely separate action RPG built from the ground up for PC and consoles. No gacha, no RNG nonsense, just a proper $59.99 game where everything is unlocked through gameplay.
At least that's what we been told, hopefully they keep their word.

The demo goes live on November 17, with early access for preorders starting November 21, and the full launch happening November 24. You follow Sung Jinwoo's journey from E-rank nobody to the world's strongest hunter, with both the original webtoon story and brand-new content exclusive to the game.
The 4-player co-op is what really catches my attention. Being able to team up with friends (or just four Sung Jinwoos, apparently) to take on dungeons and bosses sounds like a blast. Console versions are coming in 2026, but i think i am diving in on PC next week.
Frostpunk 2: Fractured Utopias DLC (December 8)
Frostpunk 2's first major expansion is all about factions and ideology, and it sounds intense. Fractured Utopias expands the Utopia Builder mode with eight distinct factions, each with their own "Utopia Tree" of laws, buildings, and abilities. The tagline says it all: "the dream of a perfect society always comes with a price."

Frostpunk 2: Fractured Utopias
The expansion adds over 100 new narrative events, two premium storylines (Doomsayers and Plague), and a new map. Each faction now has its own vision for the future, and you'll unlock specialized content by earning their trust. The catch? Fully completing a faction's Utopia Tree binds your entire society to that single path. No takesie-backsies.
At $13.99, it's priced the same as the Kingdom Come DLC, and for fans of 11 bit studios' brand of moral dilemma city building, this looks essential. The fact that it's the first of three planned DLC expansions suggests Frostpunk 2 has a long life ahead of it.
The One I'm probably playing next
Surviving Mars: Relaunched (November 10)
This one actually launched today while I am were writing this article. Surviving Mars: Relaunched is a full remaster of the 2018 sci-fi colony builder, and it includes everything โ the base game, all DLC, improved mechanics, upgraded graphics, and brand-new political systems with the Martian Assembly feature.

Surviving Mars: Relaunched
For $59.99, you're getting what's essentially the definitive edition of one of the best Mars colonization games out there. If you already own the original Surviving Mars, there's a $20 discount bringing it down to $39.99, which is a solid deal for owners. The Ultimate Edition ($79.99, or $59.99 for owners) also includes two future expansions: Feeding the Future (Q2 2026) and Machine Utopia (Q4 2026).
We're particularly interested in the new Martian Assembly endgame system, which lets you shape Martian society through laws and potentially achieve independence from Earth. It's the kind of long-term strategic planning that makes colony sims satisfying.
And the most hyped about for last !!
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord - War Sails
I don't have a ton of details on this one yet, but TaleWorlds has been teasing naval content for Bannerlord for a while now. The Steam page have been updated with a release date for 26 Nov 2025, that's pretty soon. Hopefully they will launch and we will get a chance to play it , it looks amazing

Wrapping Up
Between story expansions, new releases, and remasters, November and December are giving us plenty of reasons to stay indoors as the weather gets colder. Whether you're into historical accuracy, sci-fi survival, or anime action, there's something dropping in the next eight weeks that deserves your attention.
I'll be covering several of these in more depth once I get my hands on them. In the meantime, let me know what you're most excited for โ are you diving into Ancient Rome with Anno? Solving mysteries in Kingdom Come? Or are you ready to level up with Sung Jinwoo?
